Junior’s Program
Catch a Fish & Catch
a Kid
The Plum Island Surfcasters Junior's Program is under way
again. We had a very productive
first meeting re-familiarizing the kids with rod wrapping techniques. This
is to prepare them for building a rod that will be raffled off during our annual
Spring Fund Raising event. Also, due to unreasonable rental increases for the
Salisbury Senior Center, we are switching our meeting location for the
Junior's Program.
Working with Janet Kennedy from the Parker River Wildlife
Refuge , we will now hold our meetings on Saturday afternoons at the
wildlife center headquarters on Rolfes Lane in Newbury from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. or
2:00 - 4:00 p.m. The wildlife headquarters have beautiful new facilities and
there is no charge to the club for its use.
Outlined below is the schedule of events for this year 's Junior's Program.
All members are encouraged to attend any of the kids meetings, events
and activities to learn a few new techniques or just have fun. Our next meeting
is this Saturday, November 13, at the refuge. See you there.

The program is open to all kids as part of the 2005 family
membership for $30.00; juniors must be accompanied by an adult at events.
